Original acrylic painting on canvas HARLEQUIN by Pima

2023 I started to paint a series of abstract portrait paintings in Designer clothes, called PIMANICS - living embodiments of feelings. They open up to deeply sensitive and loving dimensions. 

HARLEQUIN is the first painting of the series and is inspired by a school friend’s exhibition, where he curated legendary designer clothes from the 90‘s TV Show „The Nanny“. The vibrant Jacket the creature is wearing in this painting, is originally designed by MOSCHINO couture.

The Paintings are not only a tribute to the garments, but also present a completely new perspective on how designs can be interpreted. They bring the creatures to life. And designs only really come to life when they are worn.
